Azurik: Rise of Perathia

FEATURES

Azurik, Rise of Perathia, uses the power of the Xbox gaming system to create worlds with greater depth and detail than have every before been seen on any gaming system. Azurik uses the Adrenium Engine, built fresh from the ground up, to bring these amazing worlds to life.

  • More polygons - Up to 300,000 individually textured polygons are on screen per frame, resulting in hugely detailed worlds.

  • More textures with more detail - Xbox texture compression takes those polygons and allows our artists to create highly detailed textures. Detail

  • More sound - Xbox allows our sound designers to put 64 3D positional sounds in the world, resulting in the richest sonic environment ever heard.

  • CD quality orchestral soundtrack - Streaming audio technology allows us to present to you a beautiful, hand-crafted soundtrack by award-winning composer Jeremy Soule. 45 minutes of music recorded from a 70 person live orchestra are seamlessly blended with Jeremy's hyper-bandwidth synthesized orchestra and the sonic environment. Jeremy has composed music expressly for individual parts of the game. This music is triggered as the player enters a sonic environment and brings a new depth of emotional response to Azurik.

  • More creatures - the Elemental Realms are populated with a huge variety of creatures that maintain the Elemental Realms. Most of these creatures are thousands of polygons in size and controlled by up to a hundred bones.

  • Smarter creatures - the creature AI is tuned for each individual type of creature. Creatures hunt in packs, mothers protect their young, smaller creatures avoid you, some creatures join with others to morph into more power creatures, while still other creatures behave differently at night.

  • Huge worlds - our world-swapping technology allows for seamless gameplay. You can explore the 22 levels of the Elemental Realms (2000 acres!) without ever seeing a loading screen. And each level is handcrafted by our team of artists using the same tools that are used to create feature film environments.
